As part of a project exploring Spanish Ornament, Matador was designed in a series of weights and styles.

Taking influence from its name and the matadors’ trajes de luces (suits of lights), a slab serif Matador was designed in 3 weights.

Alternate styles were designed and used for purposes related to Pedro Almodóvar’s 1986 film of the same name, with a minimal typographic poster and moving image clips made, as well as an animation.
